Defensive Carbine 1

This program lays the foundation for future Rifle training. Designed to have students understand their body mechanics and eye movement to establish the fundamentals of marksmanship with their rifle. Within the course students will learn: Safety and range etiquette, Mechanics of rifle operations, zero Theory, fundamentals of marksmanship, common mistakes, reloading, and maintenance of their firearm. This is a 3 hour course.

Students requirements:

Quality reliable rifle (AR, AK, or Pistol Caliber Carbine)

Quality reliable optic

3 magazines minimum

200 rounds of applicable ammunition

Hearing Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Eye Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Notebook and pencil/pen for notes

Defensive Carbine 2

The continuation of Rifle training, this course reviews safety protocols and introduces new techniques while reinforcing the lessons of marksmanship. Students will learn: Sling use, shouldering and recoil patterns, hold overs and height over bore, reloads, clearing stoppages, carry positions. This is a 3 hour course.

Students requirements:

Quality reliable rifle (AR, AK, or Pistol Caliber Carbine)

Quality reliable optic

3 magazines minimum

200 rounds of applicable ammunition

Hearing Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Eye Protection (available from 2 if By Sea)

Does ADS offer Private Training?

Yes ADS offers private training events to aid in student learning and facilitation on a personalized level.

Do I need to participate in level 1 classes to do the higher levels?

We would prefer you have attended the earlier classes with us so we know where a given students skill level is at. However if you have attended other formalized training (Such as WPS, Haley Strategic, Greenline, etc.) we can make specialized exceptions to where you skill level is at.

What do I need for Class?

Every class registration page will have a list of all required equipment and firearms for participation in that segment. You can always email us as well if you forget what you need for class! Typically this would include

- Firearm

- Sling (for rifle/carbine classes)

- Magazines

- Ammunition for the class

- Holster (For Defensive Handgun and Carbine classes)

- Hat

- Eye and Ear Protection

What age do I need to be to attend class?

18 Years of age by the day of training!
